Five Reasons #81 is Better than #81

On Monday Night Football this past week, we saw an epic battle of two storied teams (Buffalo Bills vs. New England Patriots) in what could arguably be mentioned as one of the greatest comeback games ever played in the NFL. With that being said, I think we could also debate there were two of the greatest wide receivers to ever play in the NFL who participated in this game as well: Randy Moss (r81) and Terrell Owens (t81).

Here are five debatable, yet solid, reasons why r81 is better than t81.

  1. Physical Play: While Moss is not a wide receiver know for his blocking, Owens has made physical play a large component of his play. However, at this stage of Owens’s career, his skills are noticeably fading.

  2. Hands: When the game is on the line, who is the better clutch receiver? Moss. Owens can still pose as a physical threat, but Moss has a pure knack for finding the ball in flight and “snatch hands” that can pluck the ball out of the air.

  3. QB: Tom Brady (NE) vs. Trent Edwards (BUF). Three Super Bowls vs. Zero Super Bowls. Enough said.

  4. Age: Moss is currently in his 12th year of the NFLOwens is currently in his 14th year of the NFL.

  5. Production*:
