Personnel Groupings

There are two schools of thought when it comes to personnel groupings in football: digits and cards. A sample of the more common personnel groupings in each system is located below.

Both systems are adequate and accomplish the same result. I grew up learning the cards system and find it to be second nature, but have had to learn over the course of time the digits system and now have a very good handle on both systems and often use them interchangeably.
